Jonathan Batista is a New York City born artist of Dominican descent. He explores identity, community and belonging with warmth, humor and keen observation. As a queer artist, he transforms everyday life into visual narratives that feel both personal and universal. His art spans comics, illustration, painting and fine art forms. In works like the series The New York Adventures of Josh Roach he uses caricature and exaggeration to invite audiences into a world where humor opens a space for connection.
